E' stata recentemente annunciata la notizia dell'accordo raggiunto tra Microsoft e Nokia per l'inserimento di Silverlight all'interno dei cellulari Nokia S60.
Microsoft aveva presentato Silverlight per i S60 il 5 Marzo al MIX08 di Las Vegas.
Con l'aggiunta di questo plugin oggi lo sviluppatore mobile per cellulari S60 avrà a disposizione i seguenti linguaggi: C++, S60 Web Run-time, Java, Flash Lite e Python.
Presto verrà annuncaita anche la versione di Silverlight per S40.
Nokia today announced plans to make Microsoft Silverlight available for S60 on Symbian OS, the world's leading smartphone software(1), as well as for Series 40 devices and Nokia Internet tablets. Adding support for Silverlight will extend opportunities for developers to create rich, interactive applications that run on multiple platforms in a consistent and reliable way.
